Ready to give your clothes a new lease of life?

Toffee Factory is delighted to partner with Smart Works Newcastle to bring you the first donation station in Ouseburn. You can bring your interview ready pre-loved clothes to help women gain back their confidence, get back into employment and change their lives for the better.

Smart Works Newcastle opened in 2018 and since then it has supported over 2000 women. Smart Works provide high quality interview clothing and coaching to those that they are working with. They work in close partnership with almost 300 referral agencies throughout the North East – including Job Centre Plus, mental health charities and employability schemes to support women in anyway they can. The service can be accessed by all women who are unemployed, aged 16+ and based in the North East. You can now make referrals through their website too.

Kathryn Armstrong, Fundraising Events Lead said ‘Smart Works Newcastle is thrilled to have Toffee Factory as our first donation station in Ouseburn. Plans are already in place for an exciting fashion sale in spring 2025 and we look forward to building on this partnership.’

We were delighted to receive our first donation last week from Felton and Thirston WI (Women’s Institute). Around three suitcases worth of clothes, shoes and accessories! Thank you to Fiona, who acted as delivery driver and the wider membership of Felton and Thirston.
